In Summary

Agent profiles depict the visual element, while user profiles function as the storage. Without assigning the user profile to the agent, the agent is unable to store anything under their name in Eagle. It is only when the user is assigned that items can be allocated and communicated from Eagle.

Below explains the differences between agent profiles and users in Eagle.

What Is an Agent?

An agent profile includes the picture, title, description, contact information, and social media details of a team member.

The main functions of Agent Profiles are as follows:

  1. Advertising purposes - Adding listing agents to property listings

  2. Manage the 'Meet Our Team' page on your Eagle website.

  3. They are also used in various other parts of the software like in automations.

It is recommended to create an agent profile for each team member, irrespective of their usage of Eagle.

What Is a User?

A user refers to an email and password combination that grants access to the Eagle. A user can be assigned to several types of data within Eagle, which may include:

  • Contacts

  • Tasks

  • Notes

  • Appraisals

  • Addresses

  • Communications

  • Automations

Permissions can be configured to limit users' access to specific areas.

It's best to setup a user for each member of your team that needs access to Eagle.

How Are Users and Agents Linked?

From the edit agent screen, you have the ability to link a user to an agent profile. Any messages sent by the user will be accompanied by a signature generated from the agent's profile. Additionally, any automated actions associated with the agent will be assigned to the linked user. Moreover, permissions related to properties will be linked specifically to that user.

It is strongly advised that all users be linked to an agent profile for optimal functionality.
