Add a video to a listing

Adding videos from Youtube to your listings in Eagle Software to display on your Eagle website and third party websites

More and more marketing campaigns are including a property video as part of the advertising. Adding those videos into Eagle Software is as easy as getting the video link from Youtube and adding this to the listing with in the system.

This article will cover the below steps, feel free to skip ahead to the section that you are up to:

  1. Create a Youtube account

  2. Create a Youtube channel

  3. Upload your video to Youtube

  4. Add the Youtube video link into Eagle Software

Step 1. Create a Youtube account

  1. Go to YouTube.

  2. In the top right, click Sign in.

  3. Click Create Account.

  4. Choose For myself or To manage my business.

Step 2. Create a Youtube channel

With a Google Account, you can watch and like videos and subscribe to channels. However, without a YouTube channel, you have no public presence on YouTube. Even if you have a Google Account, you need to create a YouTube channel to upload videos, comment, or make playlists. You can use a computer or the YouTube mobile site to create a new channel.

You can use a Brand Account to create a channel that has a different name but that's still managed from your Google Account. Learn more about Brand Accounts. 

  1. Sign in to YouTube on a computer or using the mobile site.

  2. Go to your channel list.

  3. Choose to create a new channel or use an existing Brand Account: Create a new channel by clicking Create a new channel. Create a YouTube channel for a Brand Account that you already manage by choosing the Brand Account from the list. If this Brand Account already has a channel, you can't create a new one—you'll just be switched over to that channel if you select the Brand Account from the list. 

  4. Fill out the details to name your new channel and verify your account. Then, click Done. This creates a new Brand Account. 

Step 3. Upload your video to Youtube

You can upload videos to YouTube in a few easy steps. Use the instructions below to upload your videos from a computer.

  1. Sign in to YouTube Studio.

  2. In the top right-hand corner, click CREATE

  3. Select the file you’d like to upload.

  4. Add basic information to video e.g Title & Description

  5. Select Next

  6. Set any Video elements settings you require and/or select Next

  7. Set Visibility to either Public OR Unlisted

  8. Select Save

  9. Once the video has been successfully uploaded hover your mouse over video title in the list of video

  10. Select the icon with the three dots and then from the drop down select Get shareable link (this will automatically copy the video URL to your clipboard)

Step 4. Add the Youtube video link into Eagle Software

  1. From the main Listings section, click into a listing

  2. Click the Images, Docs and Copy tab

  3. Scroll down to the Links section

  4. Copy the video link from Youtube and paste in the Video URL field

  5. At the bottom of the page, click Save
