In some circumstances, a transaction may be entered into the incorrect Ledger and instead of reversing and re-entering the transaction (when the reconciliation has already been completed) you can use the 'Add Transfer' feature to transfer funds between Ledgers instead.

Another scenario where you may need to transfer funds between Ledgers is when you have a vendor that has purchased another of your listings and would like to transfer their balance of deposit that you are holding for their sale, over to the ledger for the sale listing that they are paying the deposit on as the purchaser.

Note: Please only use this transfer feature if the transaction has already been reconciled. If the requirement for a transfer is caused by a new and unreconciled transaction in the bank account, then you will need to enter the corresponding debit and credit transactions in Eagle instead of using this method.

How to transfer funds in Eagle

You can transfer funds by going into the Trust Accounting tab. In there, go to your Trust account and then transactions tab. Once in there follow the steps outline below

  1. Click on the 'Add Transfer' button

  2. Select the Date for the transfer

  3. Select 'From Ledger Account'

  4. Select 'To Ledger Account'

  5. Select the 'Type' of Transaction (Other, Advertising or Deposit)

  6. Enter a 'Reason' for the transfer

  7. Enter the 'Amount'
