Assign a prospecting area

A prospecting area defines a specific territory assigned to users for identifying and pursuing potential leads and prospects. Learn how to plot a prospecting area on the map, assign it to an agent, and access it for further management.

Create a prospecting area

To create a prospecting area:

  • Go to: CRM tab > Select Prospecting from the left-hand side menu

  • Click Assign a Prospecting Area

This will display a map so you can select your prospecting area.

  • On the map, zoom into the required location

  • Click Show Instructions to view step-by-step instructions in-app, if desired

  • Click the polygon icon on the top right corner of the map

  • Plot your prospecting area on the map:

    • Click on a location

    • Drag the cursor and click on the next location

    • Continue plotting your area until it forms a complete polygon


Assign the prospecting area to an agent

To assign the polygon area to an agent:

  • Click the prospecting area you plotted

  • Click Assign Area to an Agent

  • On the popup, enter the details such as the name of the area, which the area belongs to, and the date of completion

  • Set the colour

  • Click Save

The prospecting area is highlighted by the colour you set. The assigned agent can view the focus area in My Focus Area.


Manage focus areas assigned to an agent

To access focus areas that have been plotted and assigned to an agent:

  • Go to: CRM tab > Select Prospecting from the left-hand side menu

  • Click the My Focus Areas tab or the All Focus Areas tab

On these tabs, you can:

  • View a focus area - Click the focus area name you want to view

    • In the Map View tab, you can see the created/plotted focus area on the map

  • Edit a focus area - Click the edit icon under Actions

    • On the map click the edit icon in the top right corner

    • Re-plot the focus area as required

    • Click Save

  • Delete a focus area - Click the bin icon under Actions
