If you ever send SMS on Eagle, you can take advantage of our SMS templates to create your own custom SMS impression.

How to find SMS Templates

Once you're logged into your Eagle account, click on Settings which would lead you to the screen below.

Here you can create or manage any current SMS templates you have, such as editing or deleting.

At the top of the page you'll notice that there is a button called New SMS Template, which takes you to a new page where you can create your new SMS template.

Creating an SMS template

Once in the new page, you'll be given a few fields to fill in.

  1. Name: This is what the template will be named internally.

  2. Content: This is the content of the SMS you'll be sending. Here, you can utilise and implement the template tags feature. Using the drop down box next to Add field, you can add tags that will refer to data throughout the system. For example, if you want to refer to a contact you can write {{contact_first_name}} which will gather the name in the system and input that onto the SMS. For more information about template tags, click here.

Once you've created your new template and are happy with it, at the bottom of the page there are options to submit, or save and keep editing which will create your new SMS template in Eagle.

To later access these templates, just use the newly created template whenever sending an SMS on Eagle. For example, if you want to send an SMS to an contact, you can click on "+ New SMS" button, load in your template, associate the relevant data which will fill in the template tags (if any) and then send that SMS to the contact.
