What does the integration do?

Eagle Sync will create a synchronization between your Email account (G Suite, Office365, Exchange, etc.) and your contact records/calendar events in Eagle. More specifically, the Email to Eagle Sync will record your incoming and outgoing emails against the corresponding contact in Eagle. While the calendar sync is a two way sync, the Email Sync can be set up for incoming and outgoing emails. 

Note: In order the ensure the email is recorded in Eagle that email address will need to exactly match the email address in the Contact record.

Step 1 - Connect to your email account

To sync the emails you send from your own email account with the contacts in your Eagle Agent account:

  1. Go to 'Settings'>'Integrations'

  2. Scroll to the 'Email' section

  3. In the 'Email & Calendar sync' select 'Setup'

4. You will be prompted to connect your email provider

5. Select Google (G Suite), Office365, Exchange or Other (IMAP).

Show instructions for: 

G Suite/Google Mail

  • Next you will be prompted to add your email address or username

  • Enter the password for your email account

  • A new screen will appear asking you to give Nylas permission to access your account (Google)

Office365

  • You will be prompted to add your email address or username. On the following page enter your Outlook365 password. 

Exchange

  • You will be prompted to enter your email address and password. Then click Advance Settings to enter your email server. 

Other/IMAP

  • You will be prompted to enter your email address, password and the setting of your email server. 

Step 2 - Enable in Eagle

Your email is now connected, you will lastly need to enable the sync. 

Email I Receive

  • When Synchronise Incoming Emails is enabled, it will ensure emails received to your connected email account are captured against the contact in Eagle (providing the email address exactly matches an email address in an Eagle contact).

Email I Send

Sending Emails

You can then choose which email server your emails from Eagle will be sent from:

  • Enabling Send Emails From My Connected Account will send emails from Eagle via your Connected email server. This will assist in email deliverability. 

  • Enabling Send Automation Emails From My Connected Account will ensure that the Automated email from Eagle will also be sent via your Connected email server.

Synchronise Outgoing Emails

  • When Synchronise Outgoing Emails is enabled, it will ensure emails sent to existing contacts from your connected email account are captured against the contact in Eagle. 

Note: Swoop can still be used for outgoing emails giving you more control over the emails you choose to save in Eagle.
