Eagle allows you to import all different types of data into your database, including appraisals, contacts, notes, and more.

There are three steps to importing your appraisals.

Step 1. Get a spreadsheet of your existing Appraisal data

You may be able to export data from your other software. Please contact your provider where you appraisal data is currently held for assistance in getting a spreadsheet of your existing data.

Step 2. Get your Appraisals into Eagle format (Data transformation)

To do this;

  1. Go to the 'Settings' tab in the top right corner of your screen

  2. This will give you a new menu of options on the left side of your screen. Select 'Data Import' from that menu.

  3. Once in 'Data Import' you will see a list of tab options. Select the 'Appraisals' tab.

  4. From here click the button to 'Download The Example File'.

Once you have downloaded the example file;

  1. The column headings must be the same as in the example file

  2. Line 2, 3 & 4 of the example file show how the information needs to be displayed, this is dummy data when you are ready to import this needs to be deleted.

  3. Options for listing_type: residential_sale, residential_rental, land, commercial, rural, business. Default to residential_sale

  4. Options for status: active, won, lost. Default to active

  5. Options for interest_level: hot, warm, cold. Default to warm

  6. Contact data headings must start with _contact__

  7. Optionally link contacts using column heading contact_ids, separated by a semicolon ; . You can find your Eagle contact id's in line 1 of a contact export. For instructions on how to Export your Eagle contacts please click here

  8. To import custom fields, the column heading needs to be all lower case, and replace spaces with underscores ( _ ). For example, if you have a custom field called "Favourite Colour", the column heading should be favourite_colour. Please note that before you can import custom fields you must first create them in your Eagle Account. For more information on custom fields and how to add them please click here

  9. The file must be saved as a "CSV (Comma delimited) (*.csv)"

Things to note

  • A maximum of 10,000 records can be imported at one time.

  • Your .CSV file size should not exceed 8MB

Step 3. Upload your CSV file

Once your spreadsheet is ready you can now upload your CSV file.

To do this;

  1. Go to the 'Settings' tab in the top right corner of your screen

  2. This will give you a new menu of options on the left side of your screen. Select 'Data Import' from that menu.

  3. Once in 'Data Import' you will see a list of tab options. Select the 'Appraisals' tab.

  4. From there 'Upload CSV' and select the converted Appraisal file from your file manager
