Eagle allows you to import all different types of data into your database, including contracts, contacts, appraisals, notes, and more.

There are three steps to importing your contracts.

Step 1. Get a spreadsheet of your existing Contract data

You may be able to export data from your other software. Please contact your provider where you contract data is currently held for assistance in getting a spreadsheet of your existing data.

Step 2. Get your addresses into Eagle format

To do this;

  1. Go to the 'Settings' tab in the top right corner of your screen

  2. This will give you a new menu of options on the left side of your screen. Select 'Data Import' from that menu.

  3. Once in 'Data Import' you will see a list of tab options. Select the 'Contracts' tab.

  4. From here click the button to 'Download The Example File'.

Once you have downloaded the example file;

  1. The column headings must be the same as in the example file

  2. Line 2, 3 & 4 of the example file show how the information needs to be displayed, this is dummy data when you are ready to import this needs to be deleted.

  3. Any date and times must be in the following format: Jun 16, 2017 11:30 or 2017-6-16 11:30 or 16/6/2017 11:30

  4. Property data headings must start with _property__

  5. If eagle property_id is provided, no need to provide property data. To find an Eagle property id go to your 'Listings' tab and at the bottom of the page select 'Download Excel'. You will find the id in line 1 of this spreadsheet. For instructions on how to Export your properties please click here.

  6. Link to purchasers using column heading purchaser_ids (list of eagle contact ids, separated by semicolon ; ). You can find your Eagle contact id's in line 1 of a contact export. For instructions on how to Export your Eagle contacts please click here

  7. To import custom fields, the column heading needs to be all lower case, and replace spaces with underscores ( _ ). For example, if you have a custom field called "Favourite Colour", the column heading should be favourite_colour. Please note that before you can import custom fields you must first create them in your Eagle Account. For more information on custom fields and how to add them please click here

  8. The file must be saved as a "CSV (Comma delimited) (*.csv)"

Step 3. Upload your CSV file

Once your spreadsheet is ready you can now upload your CSV file.

To do this;

  1. Go to the 'Settings' tab in the top right corner of your screen

  2. This will give you a new menu of options on the left side of your screen. Select 'Data Import' from that menu.

  3. Once in 'Data Import' you will see a list of tab options. Select the 'Contract' tab.

  4. From there 'Upload CSV' and select the converted Contract file from your file manager.
