Did you know that with Eagle Software you can create your own templated layouts for your emails?

Email Designs are setup by going to Marketing and then selecting Email Designs down the lefthand menu.

These email designs can be used throughout the system for things like Sending Bulk Email Campaigns.

Lets get going with setting up an email design, simply follow the steps below:

Step 1.

To setup a new Email Design select the + Create Email Design button at the top of the page.

Step 2.

The next step is to give your email design a Name, this is purely for internal use but we advise giving it an obvious name so that your staff know which design should be used for which situation.

For the example below I have set the name as Prospective Landlord:

Step 3.

Now you will want to set the styles, these are the default colours that will be used when adding blocks to your email design (some blocks can have their styling changed individually, but still set the default styles first).

This is done by selecting the Edit Styles button above Available Blocks.

Step 4.

Now we can begin adding Blocks to the email design, these are the different layout options for sections in the email.

This is made easy by dragging each block from the Available Blocks and placed into the email design and then making the required changed.

Step 5.

Once you have added each block into the email, you can edit each block by hovering your mouse over it and you will get further options:

Load Data
Select what data should be loaded from Eagle Software, in the below example this would be selecting which property/properties should be displayed in the block.
Styles
Override the default styles selected and set different colours to be used.
Star
Saves this as a Saved Block that can be used in future email designs (further information can be found at the end of this help article).
Move
Re-order the block to another position in the email design.
Delete
Remove the block from the email design.

The text displayed in each block can be modified by clicking into that section.

This also enables us to use template tags, in the below example we have used the Contact First Name template tag.

Once you have setup your email design, this can now be selected when sending out a bulk email.

Saved Blocks explained

You have just spent the last 30 minutes creating a beautiful looking email using the email designer, and there are some blocks that look so good, you would want to use them in other designs. This is done very easily with our Saved Blocks functionality.

As mentioned earlier, when you hover your mouse over a block you get a bunch of options in the top right corner of the block, one of those being a Star icon.

When this is selected, this adds it to the left as a Saved Block. This means that when you go to build a new email design, you can select this Saved Block and drag it into your email design, the same way an Available Block works.

If you have set your Edit Styles, this will also change the style of the Saved Block to suit your new email design.
